When Does Krillion Reset? The Daily Reset Time, Explained
Last updated: 2026-11-05
Krillion resets once a day at midnight Eastern Time — 12:00 AM on the New York clock (America/New_York). At that moment the current Daily Dive closes and a fresh set of seven prompts opens for every player in the world at the same time. Because the schedule follows the Eastern clock, the reset falls at 05:00 UTC in winter and 04:00 UTC while US daylight saving time is in effect.
This page is the complete timing reference: the reset hour in major time zones, what actually changes when the dive flips, and what to do if you want to keep playing after your one daily attempt. It is published by Krillion Daily, an independent companion site — the official game itself lives at krillion.io, and its clock is the one that matters.
If you landed here after finishing today's dive, you do not have to wait idle: Krillion Unlimited runs practice dives all day with no reset at all, and yesterday's dive shows the set you may have just missed.
| Reset time | Midnight Eastern Time (12:00 AM ET), every day |
| In UTC | 05:00 UTC in winter · 04:00 UTC during US daylight saving |
| What opens | A new Daily Dive — 7 prompts, the same for every player |
| Missed a day | That dive is gone; the next one opens at the next reset |
| Keep playing | Unlimited mode never resets — practice any time |
The short answer
Midnight Eastern, daily — one shared flip for every player worldwide.
The Daily Dive resets at 12:00 AM Eastern Time. There is no per-player timer and no local-midnight rollover: a player in Los Angeles, a player in London, and a player in Sydney all receive the new dive at the exact same instant, because the game's schedule is anchored to a single clock — America/New_York.
That anchor is why the UTC hour moves twice a year. When the United States is on standard time (roughly November to March), midnight Eastern is 05:00 UTC. During daylight saving time (roughly March to November), it is 04:00 UTC. The game follows the Eastern clock, not a fixed UTC hour, so convert from New York and you will always be right.
The countdown shown inside the official game runs to that same midnight Eastern deadline, so the in-game timer and this page will never disagree.
Krillion reset time in your time zone
One anchor, every clock: find your local reset hour in winter and summer.
Find your zone below. The winter column applies while the US is on standard time (EST), the summer column while it is on daylight time (EDT). Note that the US zones west of Eastern get the new dive on the previous evening — a Pacific player's daily dive opens at 9:00 PM their local time, which is why it can feel like the game updates 'early'.
| Time zone | Reset (US winter) | Reset (US summer) |
|---|---|---|
| New York (Eastern) | 12:00 AM | 12:00 AM |
| Chicago (Central) | 11:00 PM, previous day | 11:00 PM, previous day |
| Denver (Mountain) | 10:00 PM, previous day | 10:00 PM, previous day |
| Los Angeles (Pacific) | 9:00 PM, previous day | 9:00 PM, previous day |
| UTC | 5:00 AM | 4:00 AM |
| London | 5:00 AM | 5:00 AM |
| Berlin (Central Europe) | 6:00 AM | 6:00 AM |
| Dubai | 9:00 AM | 8:00 AM |
| Pakistan (PKT) | 10:00 AM | 9:00 AM |
| India (IST) | 10:30 AM | 9:30 AM |
| Sydney | 4:00 PM | 2:00 PM |
What happens at the reset
The old dive closes, the new set of seven prompts goes live, and the day locks in.
At the reset, three things happen at once. First, the current dive closes: answers can no longer be submitted for it, and the day's results are final. Second, the new dive opens with seven prompts that are identical for every player — the shared set is the whole point of the game, because your rarity score only means something when everyone answered the same questions. Third, the closed dive moves into the record: you can review it in yesterday's dive and browse older sets in the answers archive.
If you never played a day, that dive is simply gone from your scored record — there is no catch-up attempt and no way to buy it back. Streak-minded players should treat the reset as a hard deadline: finishing at 11:58 PM Eastern counts, starting at 12:01 AM is already the new day.
On this site, the new day's pages follow the same clock. Once the dive flips, our coverage switches to the new set — start from today's answers after you have played, and use the Krillion FAQ if anything about the changeover is unclear.
Can you restart, replay, or redo a Krillion dive?
The daily dive is one scored attempt — refreshing, re-entering, or waiting does not reset it.
No — and this is the question behind most reset searches. Your Daily Dive attempt is recorded as you play it. Refreshing the page, closing the tab, switching devices, or coming back an hour later does not restart the dive, restore a prompt, or give you a second scored attempt. A skipped prompt stays skipped, and a finished dive stays finished until the reset opens the next one.
What you can do is keep playing outside the scored dive. Krillion Unlimited deals fresh practice rounds whenever you want them, with no daily cap and no reset. The themed prompt packs train the categories you struggle with, and the answer checker lets you test how rare an answer might be before you commit to it in a real dive.
Treat the daily dive as the exam and everything else as training. Players who run a few unlimited rounds before their scored attempt consistently dive deeper — the strategy guides explain the habits behind that, and how scoring works shows exactly what a rarer answer is worth.
Why the reset might look different where you are
Daylight-saving changeover weeks, and the Pacific-evening effect, explain most confusion.
Twice a year there are a few weeks when the offset between the US and Europe is one hour shorter than usual, because the two regions switch their clocks on different dates. During those weeks your local reset time shifts by an hour even though nothing about the game changed — midnight Eastern is still midnight Eastern. If the dive seems to flip an hour early or late in March or late October, this is why.
Spelling causes the other share of confusion. Searches for 'krillin', 'krillion.io', or 'kirllion' are all asking about the same game and the same reset — there is one Daily Dive, one clock, and one flip per day.
Finally, remember that your local calendar day and the game's day are different things. West of Eastern Time, the new dive opens on your previous evening; east of it, well into your morning. Serious players plan around the Eastern clock, not their own date line — the table above is the conversion to bookmark.

Frequently Asked Questions
When does Krillion reset?
Krillion resets every day at midnight Eastern Time (12:00 AM, America/New_York). That is 05:00 UTC during US standard time and 04:00 UTC during daylight saving time. At the reset, the current Daily Dive closes and a new set of seven prompts opens for all players at once.
What time does Krillion reset in Pacific Time?
9:00 PM Pacific Time on the previous evening. Because the game runs on the Eastern clock, West Coast players receive the new dive at 9 PM local — three hours before their own midnight.
When does krillion.io reset?
krillion.io is the official game's address, and it resets on the same schedule as every Krillion reference: midnight Eastern Time, daily. There is only one Daily Dive and one reset time.
How often does Krillion refresh?
Once a day. The prompts, and only the prompts, refresh at the midnight Eastern reset. Your attempt does not refresh: a played dive stays played until the next day's set opens.
Can you play Krillion more than once a day?
The scored Daily Dive is one attempt per day. After that you can play unlimited practice rounds — on this site, Krillion Unlimited and the themed packs run all day with no reset and no cap. Practice scores are separate from your daily result.
Can you restart or redo a Krillion dive?
No. Refreshing the page or returning later does not restart a dive, restore a skipped prompt, or grant a second scored attempt. The dive you played is final until the next reset opens a new one.
What happens if I miss a day of Krillion?
The missed dive closes at the reset and is gone from your scored record — it cannot be replayed or made up. The next reset opens a fresh dive as normal, so a missed day costs you that day only.
When do today's Krillion answers and hints update?
They follow the same reset. Once the new dive opens at midnight Eastern, the day's coverage switches to the new set; the set that just closed moves to yesterday's page and the answers archive on this site.
